ACTIVE DEVICE MANAGEMENT

ACTIVE DEVICE MANAGEMENT
It is for the sake of quality that terminal devices are monitored 7 days in the week round the clock at LOSTnFOUND®, and, as a matter of fact, even if the vehicles are not in use. For this purpose, LOSTnFOUND® makes use of the copyright protected method called ActiveDeviceManagement©.

To begin with, the devices check their own status and the corresponding vitality (SelfCheckUp©). Depending on the device model, up to 12 different diagnostics procedures are carried out for this purpose, after which, if needed, the device is restarted (AutoReboot©). Finally, the devices are contacted actively by the servers at an hourly cycle that is specified dynamically. In doing so, the corresponding status is queried (Heartbeat©). If the values of vitality yield a negative finding, the devices are included in an observation list (WatchList©) and started remotely by the server directly after a specific observation period. If the appropriate actions do not lead to the desired result, since one device, for example, has been uninstalled, the owner is informed about the non-reachability of the module and the measures to be adopted in writing.

For the customers of LOSTnFOUND® this unique monitoring means the maximum possible security.
